She’s been teaching hula hooping since 2014 and has facilitated numerous workshops in schools, community settings and events, as well as running regular classes in Birmingham.

In 2014 she began her training in Dance and Movement Psychotherapy to expand her competencies and expertise, and to combine the use of dance and movement with the promotion of well-being and emotional and physical health. She graduated from the MA at the University of Derby in 2016.  During this time she’s been offering dance and movement therapy workshops in special needs schools, care homes and community settings engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and with disabilities and mental health issues. She’s worked with the British Red Cross and with women’s centres in Birmingham working with people who suffered from trauma and abuse.

Her eclectic approach combines a series of techniques such us story telling, body mapping and creative expressive arts. Her clinical work aims to encourage clients to explore and process inner states and connect them with bodily feedback through movement, to help people to recognise elements of strength existing in the body and develop a positive attitude to enhance self-esteem, self-confidence and a positive body-image.
